Christ Our Life
Psalms 27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
When Christ is our life, our everything, our all in all, then will we desire to seek His face as He commanded.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
So many times we seek what can be added to us first, then we feel that we will be able properly serve God. This is putting the cart before the ox. First we must seek God and His righteousness and then everything else will fall into place.
When we put our trust in Christ, our sins are imputed to Him but His righteousness is imputed to us. This is the first time that we seek Him , but it should not stop there.
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Our seeking and knowing Christ should not stop after salvation but should continue so that we can be more and more like Christ; our Redeemer, our Brother, our Shepherd, our Lord.
Why should we Know Him more and more? So that we can efficiently and effectively do this.
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Today, let us persistently pursue the face of God and let us put all distractions aside so that we can focus on what Christ did for us on the cross and is continuing to do in our lives.
Resurrection Sunday is coming up and this weekend we should be concentrating on Christ. This weekend let him be your all in all, your life, your everything, but do not let it stop on Sunday but let it continue on till death calls you home or the rapture takes you home to glory.
Have a blessed day and may the Lord prosper your footsteps.
