Ruler of Your Life

In this life you always have some one that rules over your life. It could be an employer, a parent, or even a political leader. They may not rule over every part of your life, but they do rule over some part of it.

In this blog I want to ask you this question, are you letting God have rule over your life.

We like to think that we control everything when self-control is an abstract thought. You see, we think that we have control when the fact is that we control nothing.

There is only One that controls everything and that is God. God created all, He keeps everything going, and one day He is going to wrap everything up. He is Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipotent (all powerful), and He is Omnipresent (always everywhere).

  • God knows all.

Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God knows all so therefore we should run to Him and stay close to Him

  • God is all powerful.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

God is all powerful so therefore we should trust His strength.

  • God is everywhere always.

Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Job 34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

If God knows all, is all powerful, and is everywhere always, then we should accept that we control nothing and that He controls everything. The ride is always smoother when we quit trying to steer and we let God have the wheel.

One last question, have you let God set on the throne of your heart or are you setting on it trying to rule your life?

Stay tuned for next weeks, “Monday’s Blog”.
