Psalm 8:1

8 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

There are a lot of names with a lot of different meanings in this world and people love to search out their name if you see what it means.
There is a name that is above all names, that is the name of Jesus.

There is salvation in His name:

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is comfort in His name.

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus understands our needs and is there for us. He is our Advocate, our Mediator, and most of all our Redeemer.

I Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

He is our Hope.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

We have the blessed hope that He is in control and will one day return for us, an “I Know So” hope.

Titus 2:13-14 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Make sure that you tell people about the name of Jesus, tell them what He did for you, what He can do for them, and the change that He can bring in their life.
