The Rapture Part II
Looking at the rapture, the next big question is when will the rapture happen. Is it before the tribulation, is it in the middle of the tribulation, or is it at the end of the tribulation? There is a lot of speculation, a lot of false information, but there is also a lot of truth if you know how to sift through all the information.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Why should we study God’s Word?
- To show ourselves approved unto God, not unto man but unto God.
- That way we will not be ashamed for how many times has someone asked us a question and we could not tell them something basic out of the Bible.
- So that we can rightly divide the word of truth. We do that through praying for wisdom as it commands us to do in James 1:5 and through the leading of the Holy Spirit; coupled with fervently studying the Word of God.
For the next several blogs, we will be looking through five different views of the rapture. We will look at Partial rapture, Mid-tribulation Rapture, Pre-wrath Rapture, Post-tribulation Rapture, and the Pre-tribulation Rapture.
It is very important to know where you stand and why you stand on a certain position. You must not only understand why you believe what you believe, but you must understand why the other areas are problematic.
Prophecy is very exciting, and I am glad that it is. When we see how short time is, it should motivate us to obey the Bible and to fulfill the great commission like it says Matthew 28:19–20. The closer we see it getting the more excited should be getting about people putting their trust in Christ. Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Imagine family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. that once the rapture happens we will no longer have a chance to tell them about Jesus Christ and what He did for them on the cross.
Time is quickly running out and we must be about the Father’s business, and what is the Father’s business? Getting people saved.
John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. Jesus left us the example to live by, pleasing the Father; is pleasing the Father the utmost priority in your life?
Stay tuned for the rapture part III.
